How we lay a floor.

That photo is a hand-scraped hardwood install we did, and it shows the details we care about on every job. The boards run straight through the doorway into the next room with no threshold strip, so the two spaces read as one floor instead of two separate ones stitched together.

Look closer and the end joints are staggered at random lengths, no two lining up across neighboring rows, which is the first thing an eye catches when a floor looks rushed. Along the cabinet base the planks are scribed in tight, so the cabinetry sits on a clean line instead of a gap covered in caulk. It's the same crew that measures your rooms and writes your estimate that does this kind of cutting in, on hardwood, vinyl plank, tile, laminate and carpet alike.
